The hull is injected into two distinct longitudinal sections and then welded with an infrared process. Compared to the injection in a single piece it is possible to shape each single piece of the hull much better. Polyamide is the base material of the hull: in Dalbello's Quantum it is interspersed with fiberglass, while in Quantum Asolo and in the Quantum Asolo Factory there is carbon fiber.
The cuff is divided into two elements held together by a cord in Dyneema SK78 and black Technora. We are not very convinced of this solution with exposed "wires" but we reserve further evaluations after a field test. The cuff allows a 65 ° excursion and the fastener on the neck is adjusted with a sophisticated millimeter adjustment system with a knob (it is not a BOA) which in our opinion is a bit too exposed.
All three Quantum models are equipped with a double density rocker sole in Vibram, uniform along the entire length. In the part under the foot, the sole is made of softer rubber, for greater grip when walking.
