The Nidecker Supermatic is what we've been waiting for in snowboarding: the first universal automatic binding with a classic buckle option. Many brands have tried and failed to crack the step-in code. Most of these systems required special boots, many didn't work well in powder, and none were as comfortable and reliable as a simple two-strap binding. After spending four years developing a proprietary solution that solves all these problems, it turned out to be a real breakthrough.
Supermatic. The Supermatic works on the principle of a triggered hi-back, which we call Drop-In Tech. All you have to do is push your boot through the back of the binding and step on it for the binding to automatically snap into place. That's it - you're ready to ride. A simple release lever makes getting out of the binding just as fast. The straps have the same comfortable AuxTech design found in our traditional high-end bindings. Adjust them once, then lock them in place with the aluminum Locking Slap Ratchets to enjoy a perfect fit every time. The beauty of this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer and there is no complicated mechanism to jam. If the conditions on the slopes or in the snow require it, you can also clip into it like a regular binding.
Supermatic. The Supermatic are built with proven materials. The all-new baseplate is constructed of impact-resistant fiberglass and nylon, with a Slip-N-Grip plate that makes it easy for your fingers to slide over the pad for easy insertion.
Added heelcup roller to ensure smooth operation of hi-back trigger. The Asym Hadron's nylon hi-back is designed to fit perfectly in the shoe, with a responsive flex and integrated forward camber adjuster for full customization.
ASYM ROCKERED MATIC-SERIES BASE - Utilizes the same tested shape and nylon/glass blend as our beloved Axis base, but with the added component of Drop-In technology. Equipped with multi-disk, it works with all snowboards on the market.
ASYM HADRON-MATIC-SERIES BED - The half-leaf hi-back creates the fastest automatic entry system. It completely folds down creating a large opening so you can freely clip your boot in.
HYBRID EXO-FRAME - Suspended from the Hybrid Spine, the injected ankle strap frame with Auxetic pattern provides a great form fit.
HEXO TOECAP - The Hexo Toecap strap features AuxTech®, a three-dimensional, hinged Auxetic pattern for the ultimate in comfort.
LSR buckles - Slap Ratchet buckles lock in place to secure your preferred foot strap tension. They can be set in automatic mode or used like regular buckles for a two-strap effect.
Insertion > 1s x each foot = 2s and ride The Supermatic works on the principle of a tilting spoon similar to the Flow system, which we also call Drop-In Tech. All you have to do is push the boot through the back of the binding and step the heel of the boot on the lever that activates the locking mechanism, which automatically engages in a split second, immobilizing the boot. You are within 2s ready to ride.
Release > 3s x each leg = 6s and released The bindings have a solid lever located on the inside (safety) side of the binding, which you press with your thumb when you bend down to the binding. Under pressure, the locking mechanism releases and the binding opens. In parallel with this maneuver, it is a good idea to press the boot on the strap while leaning forward and then the strap holding the boot lifts into play and makes the exit from the binding fast as well
